The Digital Bible Library

Image The 1981 translation An Bíobla Naofa, the New Testament and Psalms from the 1817 edition of the 17th century Bedell Bible, and portions of the 1970 Ó Cuinn New Testament have been added to the Digital Bible Library

Their addition was marked at an event in Belfast City Hall on 4th November 2013, organised by the 'Bible Society in Northern Ireland '.  There were Bible readings from Irish and other translations, including English, Ulster-Scots, Polish and Spanish.  The Lord Mayor, Máirtín Ó Muilleoir, spoke and read a Bible passage in Irish.

Bible translations on The Digital Bible Library can be accessed through a number of websites such as YouVersion.com and Bibles.org.  They can be either viewed online or using a smartphone app.  The YouVersion smartphone app also allows these translations to be freely downloaded for offline use.

We start with singing a few praise songs/hymns, then being led in prayer, a short focus and prayer for some other ministry around the world, Bible reading, sermon, Lord's Table, ending with another song/hymn, followed by tea/coffee afterwards. There is also a dedicated children's ministry which begins in another meeting room beginning at the start of the sermon. Our dress code is casual to smart casual.

Verse of The Day
““Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 15:55-57)
